Apple and Microsoft have both been tight lipped regarding the releases of MacBook Pro 2016 and Surface Book 2, respectively.

However, many are already speculating that both companies will unveil their latest devices this October.

As early as now, Apple MacBook Pro 2016 and Microsoft Surface Book 2 are already being pitted against each other. But instead of a close match, one seems to be winning over the other, hands-down

While both the MacBook Pro 2016 and Surface Book 2 are rumored to be thinner than their predecessors, the latter's removable display seems to have an edge.

As in the case of the Surface Book 1, the Surface Book 2 can be used as both a laptop and tablet. Users can easily work on the detachable screen.

The Apple MacBook Pro 2016, however, does not have any feature like this.

Under the hood, the Surface Book 2 is also prevailing. The Microsoft notebook will be powered by Intel seventh generation chip, the Intel Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs. The battery life can last up to 14 hours.

The MacBook Pro 2016, on the other hand, will be powered by Intel sixth generation chip, the Intel Core M. Whereas, its battery life can only last up to 10 hours.

In terms of gaming, the MacBook Pro 2016 will have a better graphics than its predecessors. The Apple laptop is speculated to incorporate AMD's Polaris 11 GPU, running on Mac OS Sierra.

Hardcore gamers will also be happy with the Surface Book 2 because of its powerful graphics in portable gaming capability, rendered in both 3D and 4K display resolution. The notebook will also run in Windows 10 or Red Stone 2.

The MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to support an Apple Pen like in the recent iPad Pro model. However, the Apple Pen will likely be sold separately.

While the Surface Book 2 is will have the Surface Pen included already.

Apple MacBook Pro 2016 price is around $1,099 and $2,099 for the 13 and 15-inch models, respectively. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 price will be around $1,433 and $2,921 for the base and high-end models, respectively.
