Sony has announced list of smartphones where one of the smartphones that will take up the Android 7.0 Nougat update is expected to arrive starting November. Japanese smartphone manufacturer Sony has officially announced the list of devices on its blog earlier.

The devices listed from Sony which are all set to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update are the Sony Xperia Z3+, Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, Sony Xperia Z5, Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, Sony Xperia X, Sony Xperia XA, Sony Xperia XA Ultra, and Sony Xperia X Performance smartphones.

Sony stated in the blog, "We've been working hard to bring this major update to as many of our devices as possible, as quickly as we can. We're really excited about the new Sony features & functionality and the improvements we've made to the user experience - and we'll be sharing more soon"

It is reported that the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update is expected to roll out on Sony's recently revealed handsets including Sony Xperia XZ, Sony X Compact and Sony Xperia Z5 of 2015. Sony's other smartphones Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra will not receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update until January 2017.

According to IB Times, it is reported that Sony had missed several deadlines for almost six months before releasing its first flagship device with Android Marshmallow update in 2016. Sony is avoiding the same with the Android 7.0 Nougat update.

The company is reported to have initiated beta testing of Android 7.0 Nougat update on Sony Xperia X Performance. It is expected to roll out public version before the end of November.
