The latest version 7.1 of Android's Nougat OS will be available this month, through the beta scheme. It will be offering a series of updates to those who are creating apps and working with the platform, says Wired.

Google has always delivered the latest preview through the Android Beta program, this time also Google will do the same. Android Beta program is incredibly easy to participate.

Google has made an announcement earlier saying that they will make available the Beta version of Android Nougat 7.1 to the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Pixel C and other Google phones at the end of October. A release date for the final version has not been announced yet, reports pcadvisor.

If you follow the Android OS names they are in alphabetical order and Google has always named them after sweet treats. In alphabetical order it is Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop and Marshmallow. In latest we have Nougat.

The latest Android 7.1 will support for Google's Daydream virtual reality (VR) platform. Google's Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are the first Daydream-ready devices.

The new OS version will be coming in 3D Touch option; like that you have on the home screens of Apple's iOS devices. Android 7.1 will also support for image keyboards, where the users can end custom stickers, animated GIFs, and other content.

Android 7.1 Nougat will be featuring Circular app icons support, Manual storage manager Intent for apps, Improved VR thread scheduling, Enhanced wallpaper metadata, Multi-endpoint call support, Support for various MNO requirements, PCDMA voice privacy property, Source type support for Visual Voicemail, Carrier configuration options for managing video telephony also a storage manager.

Google vice president of engineering Dave Burke recently wrote in a blog post, "Google is working with hardware partners to bring Android 7.1 to devices in the months ahead."
