Kevin Feige said that one of the big challenges in front of "Captain Marvel" will definitely be showing Carol Danvers rock with so many astonishing abilities, but still making sure that she has weaknesses that can ground her.

He put it this way:

"What is one of the coolest things about it is she will be by far the most powerful character we've ever introduced in the movie.'How do you find those limitations? How do you find those vulnerabilities?' is something that is sort of at the crux of the story that we're putting together."

If the director of Captain Marvel movie stays faithful to Carol Danvers' comic book counterpart, we can be sure that her abilities in live combat will include flight, super strength, and energy manipulation. Superpowers like that most definitely cemented her among the Marvel universe's heavy hitters. So, it's pretty obvious that she'll attract the Avengers' attention as soon as she came in Marvel's movie world.

We all know that it could be extremely boring to watch a movie where the hero doesn't have any vulnerabilities. Carol Danvers definitely isn't invincible, so it will be interesting to show how she can be defeated.

Is someone else is going to overpowering her or the heroine will be pushing herself too far? We are left to wait until "Captain Marvel" hits the big screens on March 8, 2019, and see what is going to happen.

Why is Hiring a Female Director is Important for Kevin Feige?

Through all the great movies we had the opportunity to watch so far, the lack of female superheroes and directors have become increasingly noticeable. The things are starting to look better for Wasp, Black Widow, and Scarlet Witch that play important roles in the MCU, and Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman joining the party with the biggest characters for DC.

Marvel Studios almost had their first woman director (Patty Jenkins) back in 2012 while working on "Thor: The Dark World," but she eventually abandoned the project and Alan Taylor sat in her chair.

Jenkins is now directing "Wonder Woman" and will be credited with the title "the first modern female superhero movie directed by a woman."

Meantime, Marvel Studios still struggles to find the right person to work on Captain Marvel and they are apparently want to hire a talented woman for the job.

Kevin Feige also thinks that having female voices telling the story is very important.

He said:

"It's super important. One of the things that're interesting is there's been a lot of versions of Captain Marvel, there's been a lot of stories of Captain Marvel, and we are now sharing all the source material with the writers who are working on it now, with the filmmakers who we're meeting with and have been for months.

Whether they know a lot about the comics or, more likely, the filmmakers we work with don't have to be huge fans, they just have to fall in love with it once they are presented with it. It's amazing to see all of the filmmakers read through it and know, 'Oh, a female's writing it now.' When Kelly Sue DeConnick started on the books, they took on a new thing, and I think that's why, and I think that's important."

"Captain Marvel" is currently slated to hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
