EA and Maxis seem to be bent on adding more content to "The Sims 4." This little fact makes it more possible that there will be no game console version to be released.

The Sims 4

As of October, the downloadable content expected to come out for "The Sims 4" game is the expansion pack of City Living. The DLC is scheduled to be available in November where players will have to pay $40 in order to play it either on PC or Mac, according to Game Spot.

The Sims 4: City Living is another try of the company to prevail over the poor sales performance of the fourth Sims game. This was pointed out as the reason for the company in not manufacturing a game console version for the game, as well as losing the fans confidence on the much awaited The Sims 5.

The Sims 5

There is a higher possibility for a game console version of The Sims 5 to be released. By now, EA and Maxis will probably spend more time to try and work to make a game console version because of their failure to meet the expectations for the life-simulation game on the PC and Mac versions.

For a game that has lost momentum, it's unlikely to add a game console for The Sims 4. Fans have been saying that rather than add investment on that, their efforts are best saved for next installment.

In other words, as The Sims 4 has been a disappointment to players, their attention will have to turn to the previous installment of a game which even had a game console version.

There has been no news about the release of "The Sims 5" yet and rumors have stated of its possibility in 2019. Fans are anticipating and expecting for a better release than "The Sims 4" when that happens.
