Lately, the media has been blaming Kim's regular social media updates on her daily activities as the main reason for the horrifying Paris theft. According to the investigation, Kim's regular social media updates on her daily schedules have helped the gang to easily find about her whereabouts. Few gossip columns also speculated that the theft is purely an "inside job."

A report on The Daily Mail stated that Kim has vowed to stop flaunting her wealth on social media after a group of men, who disguised as French policemen, wrapped her mouth with tape and threw her at the bathtub before sneaking away with her precious jewelry worth over $10 million in Paris.

Experts opine that Kim's silence on social media will amount to losses of over GBP 800,000 monthly due to sponsored posts and other deals.

The 35-year old star has reportedly agreed with critics, who have claimed that the incident took place due to her excessive social media updates, according to TMZ. 

Kim has decided to take a break from work for a month and will also stay silent on social platforms for a while. She has more than 84 million followers on Instagram and around 48 million followers on Twitter.

Johanna Primevert, chief spokeswoman for the Paris police department, was quoted by CNN that Kim's fame made her an easy target for thieves.

On Tuesday, Kim's sister Khloe Kardashian appeared on the Elle DeGeneres Show. She said that her older sister is not doing well post the traumatic incident. She also added that this is a wake-up call for celebrities who often reveal all their personal details on their social platforms.
