LG Electronics announced Thursday an extended lineup of its OLED range of televisions that will be showcased at next week's International Consumer Electronics Show 2014, giving a boost to the growing OLED TV market.

LG is determined to lead the innovative television market with its extensive range of OLED TVs. In an announcement Thursday, the South Korean electronics company revealed that it will be showing its new range of OLED TV line-up at the most awaited electronics event of the year, the CES 2014, to be held in Las Vegas from January7-10. The company is challenging all other TV makers including Samsung, Sony, Panasonic among others that have struggled to lead the charts in new technology of OLED TVs.

"All of the exceptional OLED models we're showcasing at CES 2014 offer the ultimate in picture quality and refined, modern aesthetics," In-kyu Lee, Senior Vice President and head of the TV Division at LG Electronics' Home Entertainment Company, said in a press release, Thursday. "Driving the evolution of television into the next generation, LG will continue to employ its technological and design expertise to bring impressive OLED TVs to market."

The new OLED TV sets include various models with different sizes and features. The lineup comprises of an updated 55-inch Curved Screen model (55EB9600), a 65-inch model, Gallery-style 55-inch model (55EA9600), and a large 77-inch set (77EC9800). The new TV range will host 4K native display resolution along with LG's Smart TV and Cinema 3D platforms.

LG guarantees exceptional picture quality with high-contrast images in its sensually curved 77-inch model. The monstrous TV set features LG Color Refiner for automatic color enhancement, ULTRA CINEMA 3D and most effective 3D effects.

The Gallery model 55-inch OLED TV boasts Canvas Speaker- a 2.2 channel and 100W front-facing speakers for best auditory experience. Different modes on the TV set adjust to specific moods, for instance "Gallery Mode" showcases world's most famous arts while "Healing and Remembering Mode" creates a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

LG's 55-inch Curved OLED TV has received a CES 2014 Innovations Award for its eco-friendliness and superior build quality. The new model is built with recyclable material and lesser parts compared to its previous models. The 55EB9600 model is a light-weight and energy conscious television set.

LG's biggest competitor, Samsung, is yet to announce its plans about its next endeavor in OLED TV space. Samsung and LG are the sole TV makers that currently offer their versions of OLED TVs in the country. The expansion of OLED TV range means the technology will become more common in the future resulting in lowering the price of expensive OLED TVs. LG has not revealed the availability or the pricing of the new range of OLED TVs but it is likely that more information will be revealed at the CES 2014, next week.
