Dare to go West? Glossed with violence and sex that are usual elements for HBO series, the premiere episode of Westworld swept its millions of viewers into the great expanse of the old West last Sunday.

Garnering television success with 2-million viewership from the US alone, it is no doubt that Westworld would be another great series. Rumors suggested that HBO is actually developing Westworld as a potential replacement for Game of Thrones.

Following the adrenaline-rush vibe that the first episode of Westworld has given to its viewers, a week on waiting for another episode seems too long. Here, however, are few theories about what could happen in the second episode of Westworld, titled 'Chestnut.'

Whereas Westworld's pilot episode 'The Original' introduced the viewers into the depth of the Great Canyon with its inhabitants dubbed as 'Hosts' remain completely immersed in the simulation, the second episode of Westworld could potentially explore the gradual awakening of the inhabitants from this virtual reality.

Westworld is inspired by a 1973 film of the same name, written and directed by Michael Crichton, which tells the story of a Western-themed amusement park populated by Artificial Intelligence called as 'Hosts' who cater to high-paying 21st Century visitors called 'Newcomers' or 'Guests.' That's quite a mind cracker, but Westworld is basically a simulated world where the Hosts are completely unaware of their true nature, then here come the Guests who can exploit these Hosts for their entertainment, whether it be a cold-blooded murder or even a rape. Of course, there's also the masterminds or the Westworld management who programmed and took control of the Hosts' consciousness.

The first episode of Westworld, however, showed glitches from Hosts that began to have hints that the entire world of Westworld is an artificial construct. Peter Abernathy, who is the father of show's main character Dorothy, exhibited odd behaviors. He was able to access his memories that were previously deleted and these series of events were possibly triggered by an old photograph he discovered while tending his herd. Upon discovery of these glitches, the management opted to dispose Peter.

Likewise, Dolores was subjected to a routinely behavior and QA Interview during the last part of the episode. Dolores passed the interview affirming that she would never hurt any living thing but the odd thing took place the following morning as she casually killed a fly. This means that Dolores was lying during the interview, hence, she has gained control of her consciousness that is vital for how Westworld will progress in the upcoming episodes.

As the events unfold, Westworld viewers are enthralled to witness how the entire Host population would awaken and finally take action against their creators who exploited them for too long.

In the trailer of Westworld's 'Chestnut' that HBO released, Dolores was heard questioning, "Have you ever thought about this is the life you really want? Do you have a dream you're someone else?"

The cast of the 10-episode series includes Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan, Luke Hemsworth and Clifton Collins, Jr.
