The anticipation for the arrival of the sixth instalment 'The Winds of Winter' is still at its peak, especially now when the release date is in limbo.

Unfortunately, the enthusiasts and book lovers of George R. R Martin's marvel 'The Winds of Winter' from the epic fantasy series of 'A Song of Ice and Fire' will have to wait further more as it is believed that the book is nowhere to hit the stands at the end of this year or early next year.

Although George R. R Martin has conveyed his apologies to the loyal fans of the sixth instalment, reports suggest that 'The Winds of Winter' might be out by March 9, 2017. However, there is a question mark on this date as well as the publisher has denied the claim. New reports maintain that it will not even comply with the 2017 deadline.

Based on 'Game of Thrones', 'The Winds of Winter' is probably the highly anticipated and most-wanted novel released by the New Mexican author George R. R Martin. However, new publications have maintained that the marvel is still in the works and it will take more time for it to be released to the public eye.

As per Ecumenical News, George R. R Martin is currently committed to his other literary works and his jam-packed commitments have rendered him totally busy, which is why he is unable to deliver 'The Winds of Winter' on the scheduled date.

The preceding instalment, 'A Dance With Dragons' concluded with a major cliffhanger. Martin was unable to cover the story he had planned and the instalment also excluded one large battle, thus heightening the anticipation of the readers.

But as for now, Martin wishes to address the cliffhanger very early in the upcoming 'The Winds of Winter' instalment as he maintained "I'm going to open with the two big battles that I was building up to, the battle in the ice and the battle at Meereen-the battle of Slaver's Bay. And then take it from there."

The publisher along with the author have not yet released an official statement regarding the release date. But it has been announced that 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series will incorporate a digital release that will include the pieces from 'The Winds of Winter'.

Since 'Game of Thrones' is solely based on the extracts of 'The Winds of Winter', the television series has now decided to twist the plot line on its own way as the original source is moving at an awfully slow pace.

Fans can pacify themselves and still look forward to the grand release of the seventh season of HBO based television series 'Game of Thrones' which will premiere in mid-2017 on HBO.
