Whereas it was previously reported that Steven Universe Season 4 will release its episodes in Steven Bombs, fans have been anxious when will the cartoon series be returning on TV considering that it has been on an indefinite hiatus for a couple of weeks now.

The anxiety has turned the viewers to speculate that Cartoon Network would cancel Steven Universe following the recent announcement that 'Adventure Time' will be wrapping up in 2018. As per the report of Parent Herald, Steven Universe will finally conclude in its fifth season after the Gem Homeworld is revealed to the audiences, and the revelation of the show's greatest mystery could only mean one thing to fans: Steven Universe is ending.

This cancellation news has sparked the fans to have their voices be heard by creating an online petition, stating that Steven Universe "deserves to be recognized and stay longer in the air for several more years. This series is quite good, worth being seen by viewers and it is best to let it exploits its full potential to prove it is one of the best series."

Furthermore, fans are requesting that instead of a new series, Cartoon Network has to continue Steven Universe and "develop more season in the future and, at the same time, an increase of episodes per season."

Meanwhile, fans are expecting to hear details about the return of Steven Universe Season 4 during the New York Comic Con event scheduled in the upcoming week in which show creator Rebecca Sugar confirmed her attendance in.

Although fans have mix feelings about Sugar's future announcement, fans are hopeful that Steven Universe Season 4 would return sometime this October or next month.

As previously reported by HNGN, the show's hiatus was to combat the barrage of leaks and spoilers surrounding Steven Universe Season 4. The showrunners are currently reshuffling the order of episodes in order to prevent any leaks.
