"Guardians of the Galaxy" has released the first official image of the upcoming Marvel movie and it's awesome.

The film stars Vin Diesel as the voice Groot, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Zoe Saldana as Gamora and Dave Bautista rounds of the crew as Drax. "Guardians of the Galaxy" is slated to hit theaters Aug. 1, 2014.

Check out the official photo everyone's been chatting about here.  Though the cast has made the round at events on Comic-Con in 2013, no official trailer has been released for the upcoming film.
