Drug wars will continue in Narcos Season 3, which is scheduled for release on 2017. It would most likely premier in August and September just like the past seasons, but the schedule is yet to be confirmed.

If viewers felt enough with drug cartel wars after the termination of the role of the bad guy, Pablo Escobar, feelings should be re-examined. Narcos will resume in Season 3 with the full life span of Cali Cartel, featuring Gilberto Orojuela's takeover from Pablo Escobar at the top of the world's illegal drug trade.

Season 2 ended with the death of Escobar, played by Wagner Moura in the Medellin roof when he was gunned down by Colombian Special Forces. The Cali Cartel played a big part for the death of Escobar.

Season 3 will focus on the development of the Cali Cartel from being the second-top cartel to becoming the number one cartel in the world.  Although Gilberto Orojuela will replace Escobar, but unlike the past season, being a villain will be put in the shoulders of the whole Cali Cartel. This season would be likely more political than Seasons 1 and 2, both of which were packed with violence.

Another thing fans curiously await for is the return of Javier Pena in the series. It can be recalled that he and Steve Murphy were real life DEA agents contributed with the pinning down of narcotics kingpin Escobar. What would be his role on Season 3?

Season 2 gave a hint of real life Javier Pena's participation in the new series. Season 3 spoilers Gameguide hinted Pena would be the narrator for Season 3. Publisher Eric Newman emphasized the necessity of Pena's participation in the third season since Narcos is a story closest to real life in the world today than any other stories.

Will Season 3 be much more thrilling than Seasons 1 and 2, despite Escobar's fateful exit? Will it come withmore surprises? Fans have to wait and see until its official release.
