Who would not want to see two phenomenal lawyers and strong independent women teaming up in solving high-profile crime cases? Good news for TV fans, because they might be served an epic crossover from “Scandal” and “How to Get Away with Murder!”

Fans are highly anticipating the most talked-about crossover of two popular Shona Rhimes' series “Scandal” and “How to Get Away with Murder.” The former is led by Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope (who leads a team of lawyers in dealing with high-profile difficult cases) while the latter is led by Viola Davis as Annalise Keating (who also leads a team of law undergrads dealing with murder cases).

While the crossover was previously hinted, fans might not get what they are expecting sooner since “Scandal” was not able to complete production in order to premiere this fall.

As per the report of Chatt Sports Net, the premiere date of “Scandals” Season 6 was moved to January 2017 because of lead actress Kerry Washington's pregnancy.

In another report of Health Aim, creator Rhimes did not want to include pregnancy in “Scandal” Season 6 plot so the crew let the whole pregnancy thing go before continuing the production of the show. With these recent changes, fans are anxious that the crossover might not happen all along.

Meanwhile, the same media outlet quoted an Entertainment Weekly interview with Scandal actor Tony Goldwyn where he discussed the possibility of the crossover. Goldwyn, playing President Fitzgerald Grant, said that he is not sure whether the crossover would work since the two shows have different and unique tones. But the actor added that he would want to give it a shot.

Goldwyn enthusiastically said, "I'm open to anything. Are you kidding? To get act with Viola and that cast, I think it'd be super cool."

As per ABC, it is yet to confirm the supposed crossover. “Scandal” Season 6 is expected to be released in January 2017.
