Much to the dismay of Apple users and fans, the iPad Air 3 is nowhere in sight during the launching of the iPhone 7. This is what makes the product more interesting. Speculations are starting to roam around.

It has been two years since the iPad 2 was launched but the Cupertino-based tech company remains quiet about the release schedule of number three on the Air series. Considering that the tablet market has struggled during the past years, it is expected that the iPad 3 will have a lower price compared to its predecessor.

Acclaimed analyst Ming-chi Kuo noted that Apple plans to unveil a new 10.5-inch iPad variant sometime next year. The device is intended to tag along with a 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 and the low-priced 9.7-inch iPad model. Fanatics may not be expecting radical changes but, as with all Apple products, awe-inspiring features are being expected for the Air 3.

The third iPad Air will feature a 9.7-inch screen with a 2048X1536 resolution or a 264ppi pixel density. A four-speaker audio system and full Apple support is being anticipated for the unit. In addition, the device will have a faster, more compact and power efficient A9 processor. Both the iPhone 6 and the 6S run on the A9 chip.

The camera for the Apple's new tablet is a leap from the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Pro which all feature 8MP units. It is likely that the iPad 3 will be sporting a 12MP accessory.

In addition to the fingerprint scanning technology and touch ID, the third part of the Air series will incorporate lightning ports and Bluetooth 4.2 into its system.

Given that the iOS 10 is already out, it is as well likely that the tablet will be running on the same software. It has also been rumored that the iPad Air 3 will have a 4GB RAM with three internal storage options of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.
