Amid the cancellation rumors of sci-fi series "Sense8", actress Bae Doona is reportedly considering a comeback in Korean drama scene.

Soompi recently reported that the Korean actress might return in K-drama to lead OCN's upcoming mystery thriller TV series "The Voice."

Bae Doona, however, is still yet to confirm this speculation.

Meanwhile, her agency released a statement, saying, "She [Bae Doona] has received an offer for 'The Voice,' and she is currently examining the project. However, it has not yet been decided whether or not she will be appearing in the drama. She has received offers for lots of projects. She will most likely make a decision after reviewing the project as well as discussing it with the production team."

Whereas K-drama fans are elated to see the 36-year-old actress back in Korea, Bae Doona might not be returning sooner. As per the report of Parent Herald, Netflix revealed that "Sense8" will be returning for a Christmas special, which clearly indicates that the series' new season is progressing well.

Bae Doona portrays Sun Bak, an underground boxing star, in "Sense8." The actress previously stated that she was very thankful for playing this role that epitomizes transgender individuals.

Bae Doona is most popularly known for her roles as archer Park Nam-joo in "The Host" (2006) and an inflatable sex doll-come to-life in "Air Doll" (2009).  "Sense 8" became her third collaboration with "The Wachowskis" for an English-speaking role. She also starred in "Cloud Atlas" (2012) and "Jupiter Ascending" (2015). As Movie New Guide reported, the last K-drama that Bae Doona starred in was MBC's Gloria way back in 2010.

"Sense8" is scheduled to hit small screen sometime in 2017.

Whether or not this would affect Bae Doona's decision to accept the K-drama role, only time can tell. Stay tuned for more updates!
