Islam Slimani was the man of the hour when he initiated the first two of three goals during his debut with Leicester. Burnley was battered with no scores of their own.

Claudio Ranieri and Leicester had shelled out a whopping £29million for the 28 year old Algerian but it might just be worth the payment.

Time will have to tell for what Slimani has to offer but so far, his excellent performance against Burnley proved good in the investment.

What makes it more assuring is Slimani's sense of being an excellent team player making quick sneaky passes and adding a type of resurgent energy for a team where just recently, doubts where being expressed about its players like the magic man Riyad Mahrez, whose form was said to be faltering.

Although Leicester will surely have run for their money in getting out of the shadow of the last one since an apparent hangover was looming at the start of the campaign. But this week brought a change in momentum in the form of the powerful Algerian.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, as reported by the Daily Mirror is planning on the acquisition of the Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos.

After suffering from a serious and obvious decline in form which stemmed from three straight defeats, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly initiated the search for a much needed reinforcement with his former player Sergio Ramos on top of the wish list.

The Daily Mirror has reported that the bid can potentially go up to €50 million for the powerful centre back.

But will Real Madrid be willing to negotiate with the transfer? Well, it all remains to be seen.

There's really no telling what the future has in store but Ramos has definitely been trifling in the past with moving away from Santiago Bernabeu and more than once, there were speculations of a transfer to Old Trafford.
