Hollywood's golden longtime couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, confirmed rumors about their split on Tuesday. They shocked the world and the news fell pretty hard even to fellow stars.

The hit maker of heartbreaks like "Someone Like You", "Set Fire to the Rain", "One and Only", and "Don't You Remember" put on a show in New York City that doubled as a live ode to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Adele said hello to the sold-out Madison Square Garden last night and couldn't hide her emotions. A few songs into her show, she announced to the crowd that she was dedicating the show to the "elephant in the room," and branded the split the "end of an era."

"Brangelina is broken up!" the British singer told her audience. "I mean, I don't like gossiping and private lives should be private. But I feel like this is the end of an era and I am dedicating my show tonight to them."

Adele continued: "I'm really sad, genuinely. I don't know them personally but I was shocked when I woke up this morning."

"I'm glad I spoke about that because it was playing on my mind," she added, with a small smile.

The dedicated ceremonies didn't end there. As one fan wrote on Twitter, "Now #Adele is leading us all in a group Brangelina breakup therapy session. Also, there are songs."

While Adele joked that her concert was "two hours of misery," we can't think of a better artist to lead such a sing-a-long. After all, Adele has made a record-breaking career based off of her own difficult experiences in love. Her 2011 album 21 was largely about a personal breakup that resulted with heartache.

Hopefully, with time this "end of an era" will one day be water under the bridge, like every other split in Hollywood. If time doesn't help enough, call Adele's tunes for help.
