Amid impending divorce, rumor has it that a major factor in Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's separation is French actress Marion Cotillard.

Cotillard co-stars with Pitt in an upcoming Paramount film "Allied." The two were reportedly cozying up, resulting in a jealous fit from Jolie and inevitably lead to the iconic couple's divorce.

Meanwhile, the French actress vehemently denied her involvement in this Brangelina affair. Apparently, Cotillard is unreasonably caught up in this feisty turn of events.

Here, however, are interesting facts you need to know about Cotillard, the alleged reason behind Brangelina's split:

 1. Multi-Awarded Actress

Cotillard's portrayal of singer Edith Piaf in biopic La Vie en Rose directed by Olivier Dahan gained wide recognition and earned her ultimate fame. She won Best Actress in various academy awards for this role, becoming the second actress to win an Oscar and first actress to win a Golden Globe while performing in a foreign language. In fact, Cotillard won a total of 27 awards for this performance.

With all her films accumulating more than 37 million ticket sales in France from 2001 to 2014, Marion Cotillard was named as "The Most Bankable French Actress of the 21st Century."

Likewise, The Daily Telegraph's Robbie Collin named Cotillard as "the great silent film actress of our time" for her ability to convey emotions to the audiences with only her eyes and facial expressions.

3. Talented Musician

In 2013, Cotillard was named as Hasty Pudding Theatrical's Woman of the Year. She also sings and plays guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and tambourine.

4. The Face of Lady Dior

Aside from her Hollywood career, Marion Cotillard participates in various environmental campaigns. She is the spokesperson of Greenpeace, an environmental organization, since 2005.

4. A Mother of two children

Marion is reportedly expecting her second baby with her long-term boyfriend Guillaume Canet. The two have been together since 2007. Despite being together and having two babies, their eldest is now five years old, the couple is yet to marry. Marion often refers to Canet as "my boyfriend."
