Answering the queries of Shadowhunters' excited fans, Slavkin further teased, "Bust out the Kleenex ... But some of your tears will be tears of happiness and laughter."

One of the big questions of the fans is whether protagonist Clary Fairchild will soon be displaying her rune powers in Shadowhunters 2. The fans were ecstatic when Slavkin shared a photo of Clary on a combat battle, hinting that Clary would have an epic comeback. The photo is shown below:

Moreover, Slavkin enthusiastically revealed that Shadowhunters Season 2 will be deeply invested in the future of Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood who fans shipped as "Malec." Slavkin promised that there will a lot of great moments between, particularly when the two would start dating.

Likewise, fans might see another Lightwood in the scene. Fans, however, have mix feelings about this. One of the most loved characters, nine-year-old Max Lightwood would soon be debuting in the show. While some are excited, some, especially the avid readers of Cassandra Clare's novel The Mortal Instrument which Shadowhunters is based from, are broken-hearted, knowing so well the tragic fate of this lovable character.

Shadowhunters Season 2, as previously announced, would also feature the moment when Jace Herondale and Alec Lightwood take their oath as parabatai, a pair of Nephilim warriors who fight together as lifelong partners. Slavkin decribed the parabatai bond as "never been stronger."

Likewise, in a report of Movie News Guide, Slavkin revealed that Shadowhunters Season 2 will go back in time to tell the story of young Jace. It can be recalled that the first season ended with a revelation that Jace is, in fact, the son of villain Valentine Morgenstern. The upcoming season might feature a flashback of ten-year-old Jace meeting the Lightwoods.

Fans are also wondering whether Sebastian Morgenstern, another interesting character in the series, would debut in Shadowhunters Season 2. One fan wrote on Twitter,"Tell me that Sebastian is going to appear for 0.5 seconds to us," into which Slavkin playfully responded,"Haven't set my stopwatch yet but the books don't lie."

Slavkin further teased that Shadowhunters Season 2 have plentiful of whips, steels, swords, and bow and arrow in store for the fight scenes.

Furthermore, Freeform promised some sneak peaks of Shadowhunters Season 2 in the upcoming New York Comic Convention in which the cast and executive producers will be attending on October 7 and 8.
