Apple's 2016 MacBook Pro is rumored to be unveiled in an highly-anticipated launch event in October 2016. The new device from Apple has been the subject of numerous rumors saying that the laptop will be without a headphone jack, just like the newly launched iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

According to Inquisitr, Apple's new wireless technology seems to be continuing in its future devices. Rumors speculate that the MacBook Pro will come up with touch ID technology enhanced in the power button or touch pad. The finger print scan is also expected with its own strip, as Apple is well known for its security features.

Moreover,  the new MacBook Pro is expected to have USB C type ports and USB 3.1 Gen. 2, which is expected to have multifunctional capabilities that allow both external device connections and charging. This is also expected to support very high transfer speeds of up to 10GB per second, enabling instant transfers.

There are rumors of incorporating customizable OLED display touch bar which will replace the physical function keys along the top of the keyboard.

In a statement reported by Bloomberg, "The updated notebooks will be thinner, include a touch screen strip for function keys, and will be offered with more powerful and efficient graphics processors for expert users such as video gamers."

The most intriguing rumor is the laptop's use of Intel's new micro architecture chip, called "Skylake". Intel's Skylake produces significantly improved performance and also has some good impact on the battery life of the device.

Bloomberg further added, "An option for a version featuring a higher-performance graphics chip from Advanced Micro Devices Inc. will be available, another person familiar with the matter said. It's unclear which provider Apple will use for the main processor, but Intel Corp. has supplied this in the past."
