Twelve-year-old Grace Vanderwaal captured the hearts of millions of Americans in her performance of her original song "Clay" during the finale episode of America's Got Talent Season 11, bagging home the championship.

AGT judge Simon Cowell cannot help but compliment the breathtaking performance of the Suffern senasation. As per the report of People, Cowell said,"That moment at the end, it reminded me of the Kelly Clarkson moment. You know, when they said 'And the winner is Kelly Clarkson!,' I kind of had that same feeling again when they read her name out, and I saw her reaction and she was literally in pieces. I like that though."

Her win came as no surprise for the fans. Grace had already established herself as front runner of the show as early in her audition performance. When her name was announced, however, the young singer burst into tears. Judge Howie Mandel ran to the stage with her and told her, "America loves you. You are a star. You are on your way."

In an interview with Hollywod Life, Cowell compared the ukulele song-writer with the first American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson. He told the news outlet,"Kelly knew who she wanted, to be an artist. And I felt the same thing with Grace."

It's not new for Grace to be compared to other legendary stars. Throughout the show, she has been compared to then country singer Taylor Swift. The young artist however responded on this comparison gracefully.

Talking with Parade magazine"This whole experience has been so surrela, but what it all comes down to is they are amazing musicians who write amazing songs. To even have someone think about comparing me to someone like that is truly amazing."

When asked however what she is going to do next after, Grace answered,"I don't honestly know. I am trying to take it one step at a time."

Grace made the top 5 along with singer Valentinetti, mentalists The Clairvoyants, singer Brians Justin Crum, and magician Jon Derenbos.  After her massive win, fans would see Grace on her three upcoming Las Vegas shows at Planet Hollywood.
