The two buddies are set to be back on the big screen.

Woody and Buzz Lightyear are geared up to plunge in another thrilling adventure soon. It's been six years since Toy Story 3 has been released. Young people and adults alike are highly anticipating the film's upcoming installment.

However, since Pixar considers two years as its midway production point for most of its films, it is understood that fans have to wait until 2018 before the new Toy Story sequel comes out.

According to Moviepilot.com, the new sequel's plot centers on a love story. Many fans noticed the absence of Bo Peep in Toy Story 3 and it seems the toy sheriff is missing him. The movie will focus on searching for her but where it begins remains a mystery.

Tom Hanks will be back to play Woody, and Laurie Metcalf will voice Andy's mom.Other original cast members are expected to return to their respective roles as in past Toy Story movies.

ChattSportsNet.com also reported that John Lasseter will stay on as the movie's director. Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, and Lee Unkrich are all set to join Lasseter as heads of the story development team. All told, the upcoming sequel will continue to involve the brains behind past Toy Story films, except that it will involve Rashida Jones and Will McCormack as scriptwriters.

Apart from the plot mentioned earlier, no updates have been released regarding the new Toy Story movie, though Pixar is highly expected to handle this carefully and nicely.
