The Duggar family is all set to welcome their 20th child. Well, Michelle Duggar is not pregnant with another child but the family is welcoming an 8-year-old, who happens to be the son of Michelle's niece.

According to reports, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, the parents of 19 children have been granted temporary guardianship of the 8-year old.  Though the name of the child has not been revealed, he is the son of Rachel Hutchin, Michelle's niece.

Due to financial as well as legal issues, Hutchin is unable to take care of the child and had given her mother, Carolyn (who is Michelle's sister) the guardianship of the child. But recently Carolyn suffered a stroke and now the Duggars have pitched in to take care of the child.

The Duggar family heads already have a temporary custody and are reported to approach the court in November to make the guardianship permanent and then proceed with the legal adoption, reports suggest. Moreover, it has also been reported that Hutchin was arrested in April on felony charges is on probation of three years.

Notably, the Duggar family and the Hutchins along with her son have spent a great deal of time together in the past. Moreover, Michelle had always wanted another child after she gave birth to a stillborn daughter in 2011. So, it seems that her prayer for another child has been answered with the addition of this new child to the family.

It must be mentioned here that the Duggar family might face some trouble in the adoption process, for their son, Josh Duggar's scandal. In May, it was revealed that as a teenager, Josh had molested minors, which included his own sisters.

However, insiders reveal that the family might not face much of a problem as Josh is no longer living with the family and their house is safe enough for a child.

The Duggar family might keep the 8-year-old away from the spotlight and he might also not be featured along with the family in the in the family's show, "Counting On."
