It only takes the last five minutes of the game for Real Madrid to defeat Sporting Lisbon as the Los Blancos pursue their 12th European crown.

The defending champion tailed 1-nil when Sporting's Bruno Cesar curled a left-footed shot beyond the reach of Kiko Casilla shortly after the first half.

Real Madrid trailed until the closing minutes pressuring the Portuguese side until Cristiano Ronaldo fired home a free-kick at 89', equalizing the game.

The Los Blancos brought the fans at the Santiago de Bernabeau onto their feet when Alvaro Morata headed home a stoppage time goal stunning the visiting Sporting Lisbon.

Real Madrid were outplayed for large parts but  Ronaldo and  Morata's late goals cruelly denied the Portuguese side to earn the points.
