Niantic Labs, developer of the most addictive game in the world released another surprise for all gamers - the 'Pokemon Go' buddy.  

Its latest updates, version 1.7.0 for iOS and 0.37.0 for Android, introduced the all-new buddy system. Players can now tag one of the Pokémon as their buddy while earning candy for a Pokémon walk.

Once a PokeBud has been selected, candies will start dropping. The candy functions as a powerful tool for levelling up and evolving of other creatures within your inventory.

The updated version of Pokémon Go is an additional support to the Go Plus accessory, which will be on sale by Sep. 16.

As a Bluetooth-enabled device, Go Plus features an alert for newbie Trainers that will notify the players for other Pokemons nearby.

Even without opening your phone or getting into the app, this accessory can gather powerups PokeStops. Whenever a Pokémon is nearby, the device flashes. You may also press a button on your Plus accessory in attempting to catch the nearby pocket monsters.

According to 9to5mac, this Pokémon Go's latest update also drives jailbroken devices out of the way.
