After a series of delays, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 release date has been set to February 2017. It has been under production in the past year with many fans expressing their frustration at the continuous delay of the project.

According to FX Newscall, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will not pick up where it left off in the first installment. Instead, it will offer a new perspective on the post-apocalyptic world created by its author, Hajime Isayama.

Reports also disclosed that the anime series will be a bit different from manga, partly because of the lack of creative material which contributed to the delays of Season 2.

Among the most alarming spoilers of the anime series is that Eren Yeager (Haruma Miura) will be killed by Krista Lenz (Shiori Mikami), also known as Historia Reiss, the current and rightful queen of the Walls.

A major rivalry will be seen between the two, highlighting their first impressions toward each other during the first season.

Parent Herald reported that the Reiss family's backstory will be revealed and their significance to the series. Season 2 will be shedding light on many mysteries of this highly acclaimed anime series.

In addition to these spoilers, Eren and his friends Mikasa Ackerman (Yuri Ishikawa) and Armin Arlert (Kanata Hongo) will face new challenges in the form of two new Titans - Zeke and an ape-like Titan. With these developments, fans continue to speculate on the supposed death of Levi Ackerman (Hiroshi Kamiya) and Armin, both will seem to sacrifice their lives for Eren.

Although "Attack on Titan" Season 2 has no official release date yet, fans continue to look forward to it on 2017.
