When Sophie, Countess of Wessex, walked into the Everyday Heroes Awards ceremony recently, she looked elegant and awesome---younger by 10 years. There were many whispers that she was giving Kate Middleton a run for her money.

Rumours say that Sophie is the role model for palace-watchers and favorite of Queen Elizabeth too, while Kate Middleton is only a woman who married her grandson. The Queen enjoys a close relationship with Sophie that cannot be matched by Kate.

But why did Sophie look so awesome at the ceremony? The 51-year-old countess wore a Stella McCartney off-the-shoulder black lace dress that made her look so attractive that she got automatically compared to Princess Diana.

This is in total contrast to Princess Kate's dress sense. Even though the Kensington Palace PR props up her unique and individual style, it has been said to be not up to the mark. "So far, that style has ranged from frumpy and dumpy, hideous and disastrous, to common and boring," say critics.

On the other hand, Sophies's unique dress reminded everyone of Princess Diana's "above the knee post-divorce black dress". It recalled the late Princess Diana's "most daring fashion choice". Sophie's dress looked dashing, and she also drew the adjectives 'glamorous' and 'sizzling' when she walked up at the Everyday Heroes Awards.

Moreover, 51-year-old Sophie's slimness tends to make her more attractive and younger than the 34-year-old Duchess of Cambridge. Perhaps the Duchess has got some botox fixes on her face, but then, so would Kate have done it.

There is a lot of advice---mostly uncalled for, but they still flow fast and furious---that Kate should follow Sophie's example and ask for the name of her plastic surgeon, as her own face looks rather baggy and puffed up!
