Despite rumors that the main casts of the "Divergent" series may not be able to return for the final movie installment, Theo James, the film's Tobias Eaton, reportedly postponed his wedding to Ruth Kearney to film "Ascendant."

It was said that the couple chose to set aside their wedding bells until such time that James finishes shooting the fourth and final "Divergent" movie.

However, fans are wondering whether or not James' closeness with Shailene Woodley, the film's Beatrice Prior, is one of the reasons why the wedding was cancelled.

Woodley, 24, has been constantly linked with his on-screen partner, James, 31, since the beginning of the series' first movie.

A source said that they had been seen holding hands, sharing desserts, and stayed very passionate towards each other.

However when asked about it, James clarified that he was just giving his 100 percent every time he shoots with Woodley.

"By the time we had bridged that boundary, and the friendship gap and she knew how weird I was and I knew how weird she was. You're feeling each other out and what boundaries you can push and what one's you can't. But yeah, she definitely understands what a weirdo I am."

James and his girlfriend for six years, Kearney, 27, have been engaged last year and haven't discussed any plans for the future wedding with the public.

The couple reportedly set aside their wedding until the series last movie, "Ascendant" would be released in 2017.

Several reports also claimed that Woodley might be the reason behind it but some said the postponement was because of the couple's busy professional life with James few upcoming movies and Kearney's mini-series on Netflix.

James has not yet officially clarified these rumors while fans are waiting for his statement and continue to speculate the trio's status.
