People are getting worried about the lack of updates regarding the developments of the movie adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy's. Some started to think that the film was canceled, but creator Scott Cawthon assured the fans it is in the works already.

As reported by Game N Guide, Cawthon wrote on Steam Community when someone pointed out the lack of updates for Five Nights at Freddy's movie that, "The script is still being worked on. The people involved are taking the movie seriously, which is a good thing!" Five Nights at Freddy's is inspired by the FNaF game series released in August 2014 which is a survival horror game where players click through the scene and try to find ways to defend the character they are playing.

However, although the Five Nights at Freddy's Movie is in the works, many are doubtful about the success of the movie adaptation as they believe that it will be a flop due to several factors reported, the flop might be because of its unusual arrangement as a standard film has a three-act narrative which are the beginning, middle, and end.

For Five Nights at Freddy's however, it follows the perspective of someone in the first person. An example is a guard in a pizza restaurant or someone else in the movie that will be haunted by the animatronics. It has no introduction and jumps straight into the conflict of having scary robots wreaking havoc after the place closes for the day.

Moreover, it can be attributed to the fact that the audiences are hardly impressed by most video game movie adapted nowadays. Parent Herald says in its report that movies adapted from video games rarely compares to their previous successes as a match. An example of which is the Resident Evil.

As of the moment, there is still no news about the cast members for Five Nights at Freddy's movie adaptation, but it is set for release on June 8, 2018. Tune in for more updates!
