In an interview with Radar Online, a source close to the couple said the clause forbid her to be in relationship with anyone for five years after their divorce. The agreement allowed her to date, but she must keep the relationship away from Suri, their daughter.

"Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce," the source said.

If Holmes breaks the agreement, she could lose the divorce settlement money, the source explained.

On the other hand, her lover Foxx also knew Cruise's huge influence in Hollywood which could end his career as well. So neither Holmes nor Foxx want to mess with that.

Previously, rumor and speculation about such clause circulated, but both Holmes and Fox keep mum about it. The source confirmed that the rumor is true, as Holmes agreed to Cruise's term because she wanted to get out of the marriage quickly. The divorce settlement was signed on July 9, 2012.

After the divorce, Holmes received a total $9.8 million dollar of settlement from Cruise - $4.8 million in child support for Suri and $5 million for herself.

The divorce between the 37-year actress and Tom happened after five years of marriage, according to Daily Mail. They share a daughter, 10-year-old Suri, and after the divorce, Holmes was awarded custody of her.

Holmes was reported to begin her steamy love relationship with Foxx since 2013, a year after divorce. In some occasions, Foxx admitted that he was a good friend of Cruise, and his relationship with Holmes has made their friendship and professional relationship went awry.
