LG is reportedly joining the league of Smartphone manufacturers coming up with wearable gadgets.

Smartphone manufacturers have been trying out new avenues to lure in more customers. The hot trend of the season is wearable tech. While Sony and Samsung have already forayed into the market with their watches and Nokia reportedly planning a smartglass for 2014, LG is also following suit, according to various reports.

The Korean multinational conglomerate is rumored to be launching two wearable tech devices by 2014, slated for a release at the Mobile World Conference (MWC), February. The first one will be a smart watch called, 'G Arch' followed by a fitness and health tracking wristband, named G Health.

Both the alleged devices were primarily spotted on a Korean media site, reports phone arena. However, no tech details have been made available save some scarce details on their compatibility.

The smartwatch is expected to tether to LG smartphones although it's still not clear if the device will be compatible to a single device or multiple Android devices. As far as the health band is concerned, it is likely to resemble the Nike Fuel Band.

LG has reportedly already submitted the trademarks for the smartwatch and the health band at the Korean Intellectual Property Office, according to a recent post on Blog of mobile.

Alongside the wearable tech, LG is also reportedly working on its next flagship smartphone, G3. The most impressive factor in the upcoming device is the finger print scanner, reveals a recent report on thenewstribe.

The fingerprint recognition device will feature a Quad HD display powered by 2.2 GHz Octa-core processor. The device will run on Android 4.4 and will be compatible to wearable techs released by the company. The device also expects a debut at the MWC to be held in Barcelona, Feb. 2014.
