So far, Season 5 of "The Good Wife" has brought us new beginnings, new rivalries and possibly a new scandal. Here's a midseason review of the CBS drama:

THUMBS UP:

From the time Alicia said "I'm in" to Cary as he stood at her front door, fans everywhere were waiting for the day when Will would fine out. Viewers may have had to wait a little bit for that moment, but when it came - it did not disappoint. That episode also set the season up going forward. Fans will now wonder how often Peter will use his authority for Alicia. Also, we'll be curious as to how far Will and Alicia will go to beat each other. The 100th episode and midseason finale was everything a 100th episode and midseason finale were supposed to be. It provided flashbacks to an important time in the series. It also gave us an intense battle between two of the main characters. Finally, it left us with something to ponder heading into the second half of the season as many fans are wondering - Peter didn't cheat again did he?

THUMBS DOWN:

There are some fans who haven't really liked Will this season and I can understand why. He has been over the top but it's not completely unrealistic. The woman he loved betrayed him (and actually was betraying him for weeks) so it's understandable he would act out. However, maybe his behavior could be dialed back just a bit. Maybe.

What are your thoughts so far on Season 5?
