Ian Somerhalder is going through tough times in his personal as well as professional life. The talks of Nina Dobrev's return have caused trouble in his marriage and now he is reportedly looking to dump wife Nikki Reed to get back to Dobrev.

Reports suggest that the actor is eager to divorce his wife and wants to reunite with Dobrev. Rumor mills are churning out stories of their separation and sources claim that Somerhalder has grown tired of his wife's insecurity and wants to reunite with her. He is said to be miffed with Reed's demand that he quit "The Vampire Diaries."

As for Dobrev, she is not interested in any kind of reunion and does not even want to return to the series. She has no desire to associate herself with Somerhalder at such a point when his marriage is in trouble. Though executive producer Julie Plec is keen to bring her back for the finale, Dobrev has not confirmed anything about her return. Her Hollywood career is going good and it would not affect her much if she leaves the show.

However, reports about her return refuse to die and it is being said that she will be coming back as an evil force in the next season. It is being speculated that Dobrev will be the new villain who will be tormenting Damon in the eighth season. For those who do not know, a new enemy will be introduced in the next season and he/she will wield control over Damon and also torture him.

The said evil force is capable of commanding vampires and his/her identity will be disclosed in the upcoming season. Since it was Dobrev's voice that led Damon into the vault and ultimately resulted in him getting possessed by the mysterious devil, speculations have been swirling around about the evil force being Dobrev.

Well, it does not matter if Nina comes across as evil or pure. What fans want is to see her and Damon sharing screen space together, even if it means witnessing a tragedy.
