NBA 2K17 will allow players to do something that no other game in recent history has- allow the demo to seamlessly merge with the full game when it launches.

2K Games recently launched the teaser of 'Prelude', NBA 2K17 demo where users access the game's career mode by creating new players from scratch. Unlike other games where playing the demo kills the surprise and also requires you to play the introductory bits over when the full game launches, NBA 2K17 lets players transfer their credits to the game itself when it launches September 20. Prelude is available for download September 9 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The teaser shows players can join Arizona Wildcats but it is known other nine Division I NCAA teams including, Georgetown Hoyas, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Kansas Jayhawks, Illinois Fighting Illini, Louisville Cardinals, Michigan State Spartans, Oklahoma Sooners, UConn Huskies and Wake Forest Demon Deacons will be available in the game.

Providing a first glimpse at what the career mode looks like, the teaser shows player creation, interactions with coaches as cut-scenes and how college gameplay affects NBA draft status among other aspects of the game. Besides defining player attributes including height, weight and arm-span, players can also choose to play at a specific position. The teaser ends with a hint that USA's Olympic team will featured in the game besides the Dream Team.

This is likely the first time a teaser has been launched for the demo of a game. NBA 2K17 also lets players scan their faces on their players' with the MyNBA2K17 app for Android and iOS. The app is slated for September 8 release. Pre-ordering the game itself allows one to play it four days before launch.
