The legitimacy of the reported leak, however, remains unverified since EA and Maxxis did not release any comment yet. Thus, it is still safe to assume that the report is true.

In addition to that, the news originated from official website of the Brazilian Ministry of Justice, an agency responsible for rating and reviewing all the video games in Brazil. Due to this, there is no reason to believe that the leak is just purely made up, as per Movie News Guide.

Placing the issue of legitimacy aside, a lot of game enthusiasts wants to know the things that the leak has so far revealed regarding the upcoming expansion pack. First, it confirmed that the expansion pack will have a name Vida na Cidade when read in Portuguese.

When roughly translated to English, the title means Life in the City. The information somehow rings a bell given that Maxxis preferred calling its past DLCs with names synonymous to City Life.

Second, it was also found out that the upcoming expansion pack features new world dubbed as Metropolis. This information also makes sense given that a survey conducted by EA last year within the Sims community revealed that The Sims 4: Metropolis along with The Sims 4: On the Road, The Sims 4: Rebuild and The Sims 4: Get Real was among the top name options, via The BitBag.

Finally, the next city-themed DLC has a description which reads, "Move into a bustling, modern city! Live in New apartments and penthouses eat food at carts and shop at street markets. Immerse your Sims in the different cultures of the city by exploring the many diverse neighborhoods."

Unfortunately, the leak failed to reveal anything about The Sims 4: City Life DLC release date. However, a lot of those who are aware of the DLC releases' time table believe that the upcoming expansion pack will most likely be released within October to December.
