Despite Reed and Sommerhalder's efforts reportedly, Nina Dobrev seems to be coming back to "The Vampire Diaries" season 8. According to reports, Julie Plec, the showrunner, is keen on bringing Dobrev back to pump up the ratings and also keep it afloat. Her plans are also supported by CW president Mark Pedowitz. In fact, Pedowitz also announced that the network and Dobrev are negotiating. It seems like the negotiations tipped in Dobrev's favor as she is reportedly coming back to the eighth season.

Meanwhile, as "TVD" fans can celebrate her comeback, Nikki Reed has all the reasons to be worried now. In an other report, it was pointed out that Ian Sommerhalder's wife is already paranoid about Dobrev coming back to "TVD" and has filed for the divorce too. The popular star's return to "The Vampire Diaries" is an indication that the couple's marriage is falling apart.

Nikki Reed clearly doesn't want her husband to be involved with his ex-girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, in any capacity, especially the love scenes between the on-screen couple. According to rumors, Sommerhalder is obsessed with Dobrev, which is making his wife very insecure.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is scheduled for release on Oct. 21, 2018.
