September will be a big month for Apple.

This as the tech giant set to launch new models of their product lines starting with iPhone 7, MacBook Pro 2016, Apple Watch 2 and iPad Mini 5.

Many have long been waiting for the next upgrade of the iPad Mini 4 which was released September of last year alongside the iPhone 6S.

As reported by Neurogadget, the body of the new iPad Mini 5 will be thinner -- 5 mm compared to 6.1 mm of the iPad Mini 4) and made of tough Aluminum. Its screen and photography capabilities however will be the same as its predecessor -- 7.9 inch screen size with 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera.

However, its thinner body may consequently have smaller battery, which can also mean lesser capability. This can be a potential worrisome factor for buyers and users.

But then again, we can only hope that Apple can make smaller batteries with the same capabilities as bigger ones. This is the development in battery technology in the iPad series that is worth looking out for.

More exciting upgrades of the new iPad Mini includes an enhanced processor of A9 (A8 for iPad Mini 4 currently) for better gaming graphics and faster processing with pre-set up iOS 10. These is also the 3D touch capability like the iPhone 6S.

It is also said that the new iPad Mini can also be available in Rose Gold, a first time for the iPad tablet line. With the IP68 certification, we can hope that the new iPad Mini will be water and dust resistant.

Apple is also rumored to begin a new era and scrap the 3.5 mm jack for headsets for all its new models including iPhone 7 and iPad Mini 5.
