Indiana Pacers guard George Hill is unbothered by the rumors linking him and teammate Danny Granger as pieces of a potential trade for Boston Celtics star Rajon Rondo.  Hill's agent, Michael Whitaker, told the Indianapolis Star he's heard nothing of an impending trade involving his client.

The veracity of the trade rumor is uncertain, at best.  It nonetheless prompted a response from both Hill and his agent.

"I don't care nothing about that.  If it happens, it happens.  It's the business and the only thing that I can control is what I can control and that's to come out here and be the best teammate that I could possibly be and try to help this team win basketball games," Hill told The Star on Monday.  "I just found out earlier today, so it's something that I don't really pay attention to.  I kind of just saw it and let it go."

Whitaker told The Star that he hasn't heard anything about an impending trade.  He also said he hasn't been contacted by either team and hasn't been privy to any trade talks this season involving his client.

Celtics president Danny Ainge has stated over the season he doesn't intend to trade Rondo, who's expected to be an integral part of Boston's rebuilding.  It's also unlikely Ainge would be interested in the deal: Indiana traded its 2014 draft pick to Phoenix for Luis Scola and, while Granger is on an expiring contract worth $14 million, Hill is due $8 million each year for the next three seasons.

If the Hill-Granger-Rondo trade has any validity, a third team would likely need to become involved to make the salary cap situations work for both teams.
