Good news for gamers all around the world, Sony Corp. is scheduled to release two versions of the PlayStation 4 on September 7 in New York. People have already been anticipating the release of one of the two new models since the confirmation of the company this year. The second one, however, has been kept secret by the company and has only been revealed online recently.

The respected tech company already confirmed in June that it was developing and will be launching soon a 'high-end' version of the current PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 Neo will go after hard core gamers or those who want high-resolution content while playing games with their 4K television. Games produced for this high-end version are also expected to support the current model. And greater part of the already produced games for the current model are also expected to support the new high-end model.

But it looks like we are in for more surprise as the company will also be launching a slimmer, lighter and more affordable version of the PlayStation 4. This version of the gaming console is expected to compete with Microsoft's Xbox One S with price ranging below $350. This new model is also expected to be the new standard model as the production of the current PlayStation 4 is already superseded

The Verge released some images of the updated version of the gaming console with 500 GB hard drive. The images of the new model of PlayStation 4 released is also apparently a European model with a matte finish. The matte finish is very different as compared to the shiny finish of the standard model.

All eyes are on the Sony event on September 7, as everyone will be eagerly waiting for the two new models of PlayStation 4 to be officially launched and hopefully, made available to the public.
