A caroling group of over 8,000 people helped Delaney Brown, an 8-year-old girl diagnosed with leukemia, fulfill one of her bucket list items on Saturday night in West Reading, Pennsylvania, the Associated Press reported.

Brown was diagnosed in May 2013 with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with monosomy 7, a rare form of leukemia diagnosed in only about 10 children a year. She has completed five rounds of radiation and was sent home on hospice for Christmas. Doctors say she has anywhere from two days to two weeks to live.

Brown, who loves the ocean, ballet, animal prints and anything hot pink was sung to by thousands after supporters decided to help her cross as many items off her bucket list as possible, according to a Facebook page made in her honor.

On Friday, her 8th birthday, DeLaney got to video chat with Taylor Swift, marking another item off her list.

Brown's family created the Facebook page to update loved ones about Delaney's process. In a December 17 post, Delaney's mother released some devastating news.

"Today we were told the worst news of our lives. Laney has 70% cancer cells in her blood. If they would treat the cancer the virus that she has would kill her. And if they treat the virus the cancer will kill her. They gave her a couple days to a couple weeks to live," the post read.

"My heart is breaking. I sit here looking at her face trying to remember every contour of it, I breath deeply against her skin trying to always remember her smell. Every time she speaks I try to listen for the different way she says certain words so that I never forget. I keep putting my lips against her warm skin because I never want to forget how that feels. I'm devastated and I'm hoping that I will wake up from this nightmare."

The night was still a scary one for the Brown family who posted on Facebook that  "as jingle bells and other carols are being sung for Laney she was surrounded by nurses and paramedics assessing her breathing."

Not all posts are as heart-wrenching as that one. Brown's family posted a photo of Delaney giving two thumbs up as she watched and hear the thousands of carollers outside her home, the caption read: "I can hear you now!!! Love you!"
