Game of Thrones Season 7 is expected to have lots of character revelations for Jon Snow who has been a controversial figure since he was a bastard and some details about his progeny or his original name was never known.

Viewers were made to have a glimpse of Jon Snow's past with a scene where his mother Lyanna died. In that moment, Lyanna told Ned Stark, her brother, to take care of the baby who she has to raise secretly. She whispered the baby's name to Ned but the movie producers decided to keep the information a secret prolonging the audience's anticipation for Snow's real name.

A possible rift between Jon Snow and another bastard Sansa Stark is also expected in the upcoming season.

It was showed in the season finale that Jon and Sansa went back to Winterfell to meet the Northern Lords. Lyanna Mormont gave her confidence and support to Jon Snow despite the lack of trust from the community.

The gesture is said to have heightened the sibling tension between Sansa and Jon with the former demanding for credits in winning the battle. The tension is speculated to lead to an uprising with her standing against the King in the North.

In a previously-released video, Sophie Turner, explained that Sansa's action is not a manifestation that she is 'looking for praise' but was agitated for Snow's being 'naive.'

Meanwhile, filming and the premiere date of the Game of Thrones Season 7 may be postponed due to change of weather conditions.

Because winter is coming, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss,  and president of programming Casey Bloys, announced that the premiere date will be moved to mid-summer of next year anticipated to be released sometime April. The season will also contain seven episodes and will be shot in countries like Spain, Northern Ireland, and Iceland.

"Now that winter has arrived on 'Game of Thrones,' executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss felt that the story lines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing," Bloys announced in a statement in HBO on Monday.
