James Bond and Jason Bourne may share the same initials and may even have character similarities but there is a world of difference between these two. Matt Damon, "Jason Bourne," actor says that he doesn't think that James Bond is parallel to his Jason Bourne character.

In fact, Damon says that Bourne is better than Bond as the character is more relatable. James Bond is a character that emerged in the 60s and a lot has changed between then and now, in terms of people's perspectives.

"He (Bourne) is so much more relatable. Think about it. Bond is from the 1960s so has the values of that time," Matt Damon said. "He's a misogynist, he swills martinis and kills people and cracks jokes about it."

Damon further added, "But Bourne is modern. He's an anti-establishment figure, he doesn't trust institutions, he's going against the system. He has one woman that he loved and when she's gone he doesn't pursue anything else."

Meanwhile, Damon talks about the difference in treatment if his movies fail to do well at the box office. He explains that it doesn't matter how popular you are, but every one in the show business is vulnerable to its ups and downs.

Matt Damon, however, stays positive in the face of challenges and avoids taking this personally. "I noticed how differently I was treated in the business. But it helped me to come to peace with the fact it's not personal, it's about numbers."
