Monday night RAW saw a very entertaining promo pitched by AJ Styles as he sent hardcore wrestling fans enthusiastically mocking John Cena. Recently, a number of memes mocking the 15-time world heavyweight champion has been making rounds online.

With his on-screen feud with AJ Styles building up, Cena has reacted to the taunting #BeatUpJohnCena hashtag campaign started by his rival which is now becoming a trending topic on Twitter.

"Strength; the ability to resist being broken by force. Everyday life will #BeatUpJohnCena never waiver, never collapse, #NeverGiveUp @WWE," said the champ on Twitter.

Cena is notably engaged in a high-profile feud against Styles since his return to WWE after months of absence due to injuries. Alongside his diehard Bullet Club brothers Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, Styles unleashed a stinging attack against Cena on RAW saying before a hyped crowd that beating up the 15-time world champion happens to be his favorite pastime.

After the promo speech, the Club assaulted Cena until Enzo and Cass went to his rescue. Styles' Bullet Club will face off John Cena's team (Enzo & Cass) in a 6-man tag team showdown on July 24 Battleground PPV Event, Sportskeeda reported.

Originally, Jimmy and Jey may have been chosen to team up with Cena at the tag team match at Battleground after another feud broke between them and the Club. However, Enzo & Cass appear to be a more popular choice than Jimmy & Jey for the tag team match against the Styles' Bullet Club causing the creative management to switch the match-up, the Inquisitr reported. As for the storyline, the feud was originally penciled to culminate in the SummerSlam which would the last installment of their on-screen rivalry and encounters.

Who will win at the WWE Battleground?

If Bleacher Report's WWE prediction proves accurate, Team Cena could come out victorious at Battleground. The upcoming PPV event is likely to give Cena victory without necessarily hurting Styles' up-and-coming status. Like in the last two years, wrestling fans have seen the champ lose the first PPV match only to win the succeeding matches thereafter. Clearly, WWE is making quite an investment in Cena's megastar status. The narrative would see the often unbeatable Cena getting a humiliating beatdown at first before bouncing back victoriously.
