"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" has been in the news in the last couple of months for all the wrong reasons. There have been plenty of rumors regarding Depp's divorce battle with estranged wife, Amber Heard, and the news of this movie exceeding its budget. However, the unconstructive publicity around the movie did nothing to stop fans from getting excited about the sequel.

Orlando Bloom, playing the character Will Turner, confirmed previously that "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" will be a reboot film. He added that Disney was considering a reboot by exploring Will Turner's relationship with his son. "Basically, they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son," Bloom said.

The fans can also expect to see the new cast members Kaya Scodelario (Carina Smyth) and Brenton Thwaites (Henry Turner) playing more important role in the film. In the fifth installment of "Pirates of the Caribbean" series, the fans will see Henry on his way to reunite with his father Will, and Carina, the astronomer, as his lady love. According to the rumors, Carina is Captain Barbarossa's (Geoffrey Rush) daughter.

As far as the movie release date is concerned, Disney is routing for May 26, 2017. It is also important to note that Disney is not interested in doing the sixth "Pirates" film, which also means that this is Captain Jack Sparrow's, Johnny Depp, last film. Even though filming for the sixth part started simultaneously with "Pirates of the Caribbean 5," but the production didn't pan out the way it was planned. As a result, Disney floored the project, putting an end to Depp's iconic character.
