It was an exciting last week for Samsung loyalists with massive leaks revealing what the next Note could look like.

Famous tipster Evan Blass a.k.a. evleaks revealed the final marketing renders of the Note which includes three color variants of the device viz. Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Blue Coral. Colors apart the image also confirms what has been rumored for long; Samsung will introduce curved edge displays on the new Note. The image also showed an iris scanner.

GSM Arena has a specifications page listing the rumored specs of the new Note, likely to be called Galaxy Note 7. Two variants of the phablet, one with Qualcomm 823 chipset and another with Samsung's own Exynos 8893, are expected to be sold. The phone could be powered by a massive 4,000 mAh battery but the images show it is not a bulky device. A 12 MP rear cam that can shoot 4K video while clicking images at 9 MP, completes the inventory.

In a Forbes report, case information provided by Olixar confirmed external specifications seen in Blass's leaks. However, the images of cases reveal one important detail not seen in earlier images of the Note - that it could feature USB-C port which will set the Note 7 apart from Samsung's Galaxy S7 flagship phones released earlier this year.

The next Note's display has been rumored to measure 5.7 inches. New reports, based on listings on Indian trade sites, claim the screen could be much bigger at 6 inches. If true, this could be a major breakaway for Samsung and Note from convention; the speculated launch in August a full month ahead of Apple, introducing curved edge displays, USB-C and skipping '6' for '7' are some in the pipeline. As Evan Blass notes, the next Note is actually the seventh of the Note phablets if one counts the Note Edge Samsung released a few years back.
