Last week, British schoolchildren learnt some amazing news about alien life in an alien country---the United States! NASA Administrator Major Charles Bolden explained that although there are aliens, they are not lurking secretly with US aid at Area 51 in Nevada.

While Bolden's statement should not prompt people to conclude that NASA has confirmed the existence of aliens, it does support the possibility that such lives do exist in the world.

When asked by an awed 10-year old, Carmen Dearing, Bolden replied, "I do believe that we will someday find other forms of life or a form of life, if not in our solar system then in some of the other solar systems - the billions of solar systems in the universe."

Hence, no guarantees of alien life have been given. Still, Area 51 at the Nevada desert has been confirmed by him. Many people believe that aliens exist here, though this point is vehemently opposed by Bolden. He explained that the common belief is that Area 51 harbors extraterrestrials, which is the root of the secrecy behind aeronautics research.

"There is an Area 51," he said. "It's not what many people think. I've been to a place called that but it's a normal research and development place. I never saw any aliens or alien spacecraft or anything when I was there.

"I think because of the secrecy of the aeronautics research that goes on there it's ripe for people to talk about aliens being there."

Rumours whisper that Washington has been nurturing alien life here, while one whistleblower says that he has helped to "reverse-engineer an alien technology."

But indicators of a 2013 CIA report point to something else---that under a Freedom of Information request, the intelligence agency used Area 51 as an aerial gunnery for the Army Air Corp pilots in World War II.

The land was used as a test site for the Atomic Energy Commission, with approval from former US President Dwight Eisenhower. It was the spot where a U-2 spy plane was developed, along with pilot training.

Contradictory reports have built up more speculations and rumors than revealed actual facts. If alien lives are indeed lurking in Area 51, then we can only wait for them to reveal themselves, instead of guessing that they are walking about.
