Dean Ambrose became the major highlight of the recently concluded WWE Money in the Bank 2016 after bagging WWE World Heavyweight Championship title and the MITB contract. He cashed in against Seth Rollins who also defeated Roman Reigns.

Rollins seemed poised in beating the highly unpopular champion and win the contract until a former Shield brother came along who emerged as the winner of the MITB ladder match earlier in the PPV event. For a brief moment, Seth seemed secure in his position until Ambrose attacked from behind and performed his Dirty Deeds to nab the WWE World Heavyweight title, Mirror reported.

In a nutshell, the WWE Money in the Bank 2016 PPV event was entirely about The Shield according to Blasting News. In fact, The Shield has made history as the only WWE stable to have had all its members be World Heavyweight Champion all in the same night. The former team became the most dominant group the wrestling entertainment universe has ever known. From December 2012- May 2013, the group has not lost a single tag team matches they fought in.

In the event, two former Shield teammates, Roman Reigns (The Man) and Seth Rollins (The Guy), faced off for the Heavyweight title. The third member, "The Lunatic Fringe" Dean Ambrose was one of the six contenders competing for the bloody Ladder match to nab the briefcase containing the contract that guarantees a Heavyweight Championship bout at the winner's chosen place and time.

Elsewhere in the event, the feud build-up between AJ Styles and the 15-time world champion John is just getting started. A fantastic match filled with Cena-Styles non-stop action with Styles dominating the early part of the match as Cena seemed to have difficulty catching his adversary who quickly ducked and dodged his punches. Toward the end of the fight, Cena appeared to have gained the upper hand until Styles kicked the referee out of the ring resulting to a no-count. Just when Cena seemed poised to beat Styles further, the Bullet Club (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) rushed in AJ's aid and knocked Cena out.
