Bernadette's pregnancy came as a surprise not just to her husband, Howard Wolowitz, and her friends, but also the viewers. When Bernadette first reveals about her pregnancy to her rabbit, it came as a shock to the viewers, that was later met with positive reception.

Steve Moralo explained the cast's reaction in an interview. Needless to say, with a baby's addition to the subplot, a lot of things change, as far as the show's dynamics are concerned. Moralo, however, adds that the pregnancy surprise in show's ninth season is similar to the one that is experienced in real life. The producer says that this one angle opens up several storyline possibilities.

Jim Parsons claimed his natural lack of affinity for children, but is ok with having a baby on the show. However, in Season 10, he hopes that Sheldon will be unhappy about Bernadette and Howard having a baby, which will cause him to lose all the pampering he gets from his friends. However, Sheldon's baby time at the show will not be over just yet, as "TBBT" will further explore the pregnancy plot.

Meanwhile, Kaley is also reportedly unsettled with the baby's addition in season 10. If Penny were to have her way, she would like Bernadette to continue her pregnancy all the way till the end of season 10, in fact for two more seasons after that.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will premiere on October 27. The fans will be able to see how the others in the show deal with Bernadette's pregnancy, especially Leonard and Penny.
