Grant Gustin didn't waste another moment in revealing to his fans about "The Flash" season 3, as soon as he got the producer's go-ahead. Season 3, titled as "Flashpoint," is one of the most popular stories from DC Comics. There are also speculations that "Flashpoint" will be the carrier that was shown in previous season's finale.

Season 2 of "The Flash" ended with Barry going back in time to stop Reverse-Flash, Eobard Thawne, from his killing his mother. The third season will see Barry bearing the brunt of his actions. While "The Flash" tried to reinstate the changes he brought about, but he ended up creating an all new 52 DC Universe.

From the looks of it, there will be no surprise if the new season is set in alternate universe. In the new season, Barry Allen is the only one who can remember the changes and the actual DC Universe timeline where he will be shocked to see his mother still alive.

There are also speculations that "The Flash" will crossover with "Supergirl" as there have been previous cases where the two came together. According to fan theories, Barry's actions will lead to recreation of the 52 DC Universe, which means having "Supergirl" in Earth 1.

"Flashpoint" series for "The Flash" is written by Geoff John, Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment, and drawn by Andy Kubert. Season 3 will air on October 4, Tuesday.
