According to recent rumors, that season 10 of "The Big Bang Theory" is the series finale was sparked when Steven Moralo, show's executive producer, hinted in an interview last December that the series may conclude after its tenth season. Moralo said that he already has some ideas about how the series should conclude. "I can't speak to the future or on behalf of the cast or where we'll be then but it's certainly possible that it could go past that," Molaro told The Hollywood Reporter. "The reality is that maybe season 10 is the ending point. The real answer is I don't know and all I can do right now is go episode to episode and try to make each one the best that we can."

Recent reports, however, indicate that Moralo hinted at some more seasons after its upcoming one. "The writers are still so devoted and on top of it, the stories that come out are still so much fun to play - there's no drudgery aspect to this," Molaro said.

However, statements from Steven Molaro are not the only one that point towards the end of the show. Rumor has it that contracts of lead stars Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki are expiring after season 10, hinting that there might not be a season 11 after all. For now, the network has no plans of renewing their contracts. Besides, the negotiations between CBS and Warner Bros. are not going very well either.

Cuoco, however, said in an interview that she is more than happy to continue playing Penny for all the forthcoming seasons of "The Big Bang Theory." In fact, she also hinted that she is in the show for a longer period. "I think it's a given that we want to be here. That's the overall consensus," Cuoco said. "It might be a sticky road, but if I have anything to do with it, we'd be here for much longer. That's the goal."
